What Is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old system of holistic wellness originating in India. It addresses the mind, body, and spirit as an interconnected whole. Ayurveda emphasizes living in harmony with nature through mindful eating, appropriate movement, conscious breathing, stress reduction, restful sleep, and simple daily practices that support balance and long-term health.

In this training, you will explore the Five Great Elements (Maha Bhutas)—space, air, fire, water, and earth—and how they manifest within the human body and mind. I will guide you in identifying your dosha, the fundamental bio-energetic force that governs physical, mental, and emotional processes. There are three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—each formed from a unique combination of the five elements. Your personal combination of these doshas is known as your Prakriti (constitution). Understanding your Prakriti empowers you to make informed choices around diet, lifestyle, and movement to cultivate balance, vitality, and harmony. You will learn how to recognize when your doshas are balanced or imbalanced, and explore practical Ayurvedic tools and daily practices to restore equilibrium. I will also teach how specific yoga practices and asanas support each dosha. This knowledge will allow you to create intentional, dosha-informed yoga sequences for yourself or your clients.Just as nature shifts through the seasons, the doshas fluctuate throughout the time of day and the seasons of the year. You will learn how to work with these natural rhythms to maintain balance in mind, body, and spirit year-round.

Full Moon Meditation & Sound

Sound Bath, Yin, & Yoga Nidra May 1, 2026
Serenity Movement Studio w/ Ari
Offered In-Person only

This deeply restorative experience begins with 45 minutes of Yin Yoga, a slow and gentle practice that uses simple postures held for longer periods to improve mobility, stretch connective tissue, and hydrate the body’s fascial network. Yin invites you to slow down, release tension, and drop into a quiet, meditative state.
The practice will transition into 45 minutes of Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep. During this guided meditation, you’ll be invited into a deeply restful state of awareness while remaining comfortably supported. This practice helps calm the nervous system, activate the body’s parasympathetic “rest and digest” response, and cultivate a positive Sankalpa (intention) during the energy of the full moon.

The experience will close with a soothing sound bath using crystal bowls and chimes, allowing the body and mind to settle into deep relaxation.

This workshop is designed to help you release stress, restore balance, and reconnect with a sense of inner calm.
